The online business magazine Forbes posted an <\/span>article<\/span><\/a> in December 2019, which referenced data collections and representatives from NAHB and Fannie Mae, all reporting growing housing starts. The U.S. Census Bureau reported residential building permits hitting a 12-year high the previous month, with a surge of 11.1% over the year. It also reported a 6th consecutive month of growing housing starts. The housing market index from NAHB showed that leading builders were highly optimistic, their sentiment being the highest since a reading in 1999. Further, single and multi family permits had a 10.8% increase in 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n
